Applications for the Chevening Scholarship 2024-2025 are now open. Chevening Scholarship is a fully funded Master's scholarship for students around the world. The scholarship provides incredible benefits including the university tuition fees, a monthly stipend, funded return airfare, arrival and departure grants, etc.

Chevening offers students who are aspiring leaders and influential figures from across the world a unique opportunity for professional and academic advancement, networking, immersion in UK culture, and the establishment of enduring, mutually beneficial connections with the United Kingdom. Chevening stands as the esteemed international scholarship initiative of the UK government, dedicated to nurturing global leadership. Approximately 1,500 scholarships will be disbursed on a global scale.

Endowed by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in collaboration with partnering organizations, Chevening administers two distinct categories of awards – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships. Recipients are meticulously selected worldwide by British embassies and high commissions.

Eligibility Criteria: 

The applicants should:

  • Be fluent in English
  • Return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after the completion of the program
  • Hold an undergraduate degree
  • Have at least two years of work experience
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and receive an unconditional offer from one of these choices by July
  • Not hold refugee status in a non-Chevening eligible country. Applicants who are refugee citizens of a Chevening-eligible country can apply.
  • Not hold British or dual British citizenship
  • Not be an employee, a former employee, or relative* of an employee of Her Majesty’s Government, or have been within the last two years from the opening of Chevening applications a staff member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
  • Not have previously studied in the UK with funding from a UK Government-funded scholarship.

Application Process:

Please follow the following instructions to apply for the Chevening Scholarship:

  1. Go to the website Chevening Official Website
  2. Choose your country on the website followed by choosing the Chevening Scholarship
  3. Create an account.
  4. Fill your profile with your personal information, save the data and validate your profile, then start your application
  5. Complete the quiz to prove your eligibility for the Scholarship
  6. Fill the application with the required data and prepare the following documents:
    • Completed education documents
    • English language qualification
    • Conditional offers for (Up to 3) proposed courses of study
    • Unconditional offers for proposed courses of study (up to 3). Make sure to upload at least one unconditional offer by July.
    • References (If you are invited to interview you will be invited to upload two references).
    • Passport / ID document.
  7. Submit the application.
