The fully funded Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship (GEMS) is now open for applications. This is the best opportunity to study abroad for free. GEMS Scholarships seeks talented and bright students from around the world to study at Monash University Malaysia. This scholarship provides students the opportunity to work with expert research teams working on tackling major global challenges.

Each year 15 scholarships are offered by GEMS Scholarship to fund the meritorious Ph.D candidates for 42 months. The students will be supervised by a team of staff in Malaysia and Australia, as in this program they will have a paid placement in Australia for 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship, the candidates must:

• Be a Malaysian or international student
• Meet the particular academic and English language requirements
• Possess a minimum academic qualification of First Class Honours (H1) or its equivalence (H1E) recognized by Monash Malaysia
• Be able to contribute a maximum of 10 hours per week in academic/research support activities as determined by the managing school
• Commence in the year the scholarship is awarded
