WORLD FORUM FOR DEMOCRACY 2023

 

The World Forum for Democracy is a fully funded youth conference. The forum invites youth from around the globe in order to participate in the exchange of views on democracy. It is the platform where a variety of people including decision-makers, students, and young professionals from any regional and academic backgrounds will come together to debate and find solutions to the challenges faced by global democracies. The theme of the World Forum for Democracy 2023 is 'Can Democracy Guarantee and Deliver Peace?' 

Program Benefits:

• No IELTS is required.

• Airfare will be covered.

• Accommodation and lodging will be funded.

• Open to all nationalities.

Program Dates: 

• 3rd Nov to 9th Nov.

Host Country:

• France.

Venue: 

• European Youth Center, Strasbourg.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants should be between 18-30 years.

• Be proficient in English.

• Be able to attend the forum.

• Be actively involved in civil society democracy initiatives.

• Be motivated to contribute to developing new ideas on democracy & peace.

• Be ready to adopt a solution-oriented approach to address the challenges.

Application Process:

The application process for the World Forum for Democracy 2023 involves two steps that are given below:

• All the applicants must complete the online application form that must be completed via this link:

• Applicants should post a 1-minute video on online platforms (e.g. Youtube, Vimeo etc)  that should tell about the applicant’s thoughts on democracy & peace and why they should be chosen to attend this particular edition of the WFD. The link should be attached to the application form. If the link to the video is not attached to the application form and/or is not accessible with the link you provide, the application will not be considered. For security concerns regarding video sharing, the secretariat should be contacted at the latest one week before the deadline at WFDYouth@coe.int

Application Deadline:

The application deadline for the Forum is July 12, 2023. Applicants will be notified about selection in the first week of September.
